Hi, welcome to my website. I am Betsy Randolph, and I am a State Trooper with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. I was hired by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety in July 1995. I currently work the roads in Logan County, Oklahoma. I am also a Law Enforcement Driving Instructor. I teach Basic Instructor Development and Teen Defensive Driving courses through the National Safety Council. Besides writing reports, I write for enjoyment and entertainment. I have written numerous poems and short stores, and I am the author of a new series of books entitled "The Cat Carlyle Mysteries." My favorite genre is the murder mystery. My favorite authors include Mary Higgins Clark, Tony Hillerman, and Nora Roberts. I joined the Red Dirt Writers Society in February, 2011. I live in historic Guthrie, Oklahoma. I am currently serving as President of the Forestry Advisory Board for the City of Guthrie. The Board advises the City Council on urban forestry issues and observance of Arbor Day. In conjunction with the National Arbor Day Foundation, the Board encourages community involvement in planting and caring for trees. Guthrie, Oklahoma, has been designated a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. |
