Mystery Writers of America - www.MysteryWriters.org   by Mystery Writers of America. This website is mostly for those involved in writing mysteries. It does not include much content of value for writers, of any genre.

Oklahoma Authors on the Web - www.odl.state.ok.us/ocb/authors.htm  by Oklahoma Center for the Book. A website listing links to websites of some Oklahoma authors. Included are fan pages, profiles, finding aids, and author-maintained websites.

Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers - http://PoetsAndWriters.okstate.edu  by Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers at OSU, Tulsa. The Center website includes various notices, interviews, and helps for Oklahoma poets and writers. The center produces the excellent TV show "Writing Our Loud" on OETA.

Oklahoma Romance Writers of America - www.OKRWA.com   by OK-RWA. The official website of the Oklahoma Romance Writers of America (AKA "The Oklahoma Outlaws"). The website includes information on meetings, membership, research links, etc. The research page has links to numerous sources for writers.

Oklahoma Writers and Authors - http://OKWriters.Blogspot.com/  by Marilyn A. Hudson. This is a blog to provide information about writers, authors, and publishers in the state of Oklahoma. It is an information portal to promote new books, new authors, and inform about new publishing and marketing opportunities.

Oklahoma Writers' Federation - www.OWFI.org  by Oklahoma Writers' Federation. OWFI is an organization of writers' groups and affiliate members. It is dedicated to promoting higher standards for the creative arts in Oklahoma. They have an annual conference and writing contests in 29 genre.

Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America - www.SFWA.org   by SFWA. This website contains news, notes, and support for those interested in this genre. It includes some excellent articles on advice for new writers, the craft of writing, and the business end of writing. It has lots of great content.

Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators: Oklahoma Chapter - www.SCBWIOK.org  by SCBWIOK. The Society is a group of children's book writers and illustrators who come together to learn from each other and to encourage each other. The OK Chapter meets monthly and has semi-annual conferences. It is an affiliate of the national Society with website at www.SCBWI.org .

WritersDigest.com - www.WritersDigest.com   by Writer's Digest. This is a forum for writer's to post inquiries and receive responses from other writers. There are 15 or more subject areas. Contributors may post new questions or opinions or may respond to another's post. Issues get discussed, but it's up to the reader to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

WritersMarket.com - www.WritersMarket.com   by Writer's Market. A website designed to help writers market there works. It has an extensive data base of market listings and publishers, lots of writing and publishing helps, a writer's forum, and many more features. This is the online version of Writer's Market, the "freelance writer's bible" since 1921. The website has a subscription fee (one option is $3.95 per month).

100Words.com - www.100Words.com   by 100 Words staff. A website devoted to training writers to develop a daily writing habit. Contributors must submit 100 words every day (except 1) for a calendar month; any less and your writing submissions are removed. Of course, you can read the submissions of others, However, many submissions include heavy doses of profanity, and most are best described as "drivel." The website has no subscription fee.
